I started following this page since September 2016 and I found this magazine very useful. The translation of Sanskrit Shlokas in Sangeet Ratnakara is available nowhere on the internet. It is indeed a great work you have done translating these shlokas. I would like to request you to translate all shlokas from Sangeet Ratnakara in this series of magazine.
The Raga Charcha is very intellectual & meticulous discussion and a great help of students. It would be great to provide audio/video links to a particular Raga or notation over the internet.
This magazine not only explore the technical and performing aspects pf music but also guides personality development of an individual through the various articles. I was heartened by "A Teacher’s Repatriability" - an article in previous issue . The interviews with artistes and their biographies are inspiring. "Career opportunities in Music" in this issue is really educative and explored so many doors to the students who really wish to pursue music as a career.
I congratulate the entire team for this great art work.
Happen to scroll through this SVS E MAGAZINE for February 2017 & got quite hooked to the thoroughly Indian classical music spirit in it.
Had just heard about some of the performers like Sanhita Nandiji but to know about this great devoted musician is altogether a different experience.
The article is so finely tuned into words by Mr.Ramakrishna Parsekar & Mr.Prajipta Choudhary that one really gets taken & lost into the musical journey of this great singer.
My salutations to Sanhita Nandiji & the authors as well.
